Asian Design

Jia Moderne
The experience of global travel is a major influence on contemporary interior design, and there is a growing trend towards the blending of Eastern and Western styles as sophisticated homeowners look to incorporate Asian design elements into their interiors. The recent surge in popularity of Asian style can be partly attributed to its serene look. Asian design elements are characterized by clean and simple forms with an emphasis on horizontal lines, quiet colors, natural textures and materials, and an absence of clutter. In this episode of Style Watch, our design expert Dale Holman will show us how with a few key design ideas, from paint color to bathroom fixtures, we can create our own zen-like and harmonious interiors where objects from different countries and even time periods blend together naturally
