It's Easy Being Green
Gone are the days when green design evoked images of the Birkenstock-wearing counter culture. Increasingly, homeowners are looking to create eco-chic interiors by combining luxury with their good intentions. While green design still represents a small fraction of the industry, little by little, environmentally-friendly design products such as bamboo flooring and recycled glass terrazzo are entering the mainstream, where organic foods and cosmetics have already been embraced.
In this episode of Stylewatch, we will be exploring the many options in "green" flooring - from bamboo and cork to reclaimed French limestone and recycled rubber, leather and glass tiles. No longer do you have to sacrifice style for substance with the choices in environmentally-sound flooring options available at numerous price points.
